Fatty Fatty 2 by 4

Well, having an 8 week old I also have a few extra pounds, rolls, dimples, etc... that I would like to get rid of. I started a modified Atkins diet about 4 weeks ago. I say "modified" because that way I can cheat if I want to. I've actually been sticking to it pretty well with only a few slip ups. I think the fact that I started it at 4 weeks postpartum kinda messed up my initial weightloss. In Dr. Atkin's book he says if you start close to your period or whatever that the hormones can make your initial weightloss slow. Well, I'm sure postpartum hormones are a lot more outta whack than menstrual hormones. So, I didn't lose any weight until the 3rd week. I lost 4 pounds. Now I've lost another 2. So, 6 pounds in 4 weeks. Not bad, I guess. I haven't lost a ton of inches. I've lost some, but they're in places I don't want to lose them- like my bra. I don't have a goal weight, but more like a goal "size." I know how I wanna look in my clothes, and "white trash squeezing into jeans with a roll hanging over" isn't how I wanna look. :) My husband sees enough girls like that since he works at the jail. I'd like to look better than the girls he books in. I'm pretty sure he doesn't find them attractive. Now if he brings home an orange jumpsuit for me to wear, then I'll be worried...
I've been trying hard to work out regularly. I worked out atleast 3 times a week my entire pregnancy. But it's like my body didn't care. I gave birth and became a total out-of-shape blob!! So, I started working out again about 4-5 weeks postpartum, but my old workout schedule (8:30am) doesn't work well with my baby's schedule. I really, really want a treadmill. I've been looking online for a used one I can afford to no avail. I had an appointment to look at one, but the husband sold it to someone over the phone without telling the wife who we had the appt. with. A little frustrating! Anyone have one they wanna sell me??
Man, I could probably write on this thing all day. I have so many things to talk about and my 2 year old doesn't seem to care to listen unless it's about Dora the Explorer or The Wonder Pets.

For someone who (disgustingly, I might add) only gained like 20 pounds during her pregnancy, I would say losing 6 already would put you back at about normal weight. You are a hot mama!

It put me 2 pounds less than my pre-pregnancy weight. However, my hips are about 2 inches wider than they were pre-pregnancy. :(

Nice, Tori. Hang in there...I agree with Tara - you're hot.

Like the blog. I'll be checking in regularly. Please tell me where your shirt (in the photo in the previous post) came from. That's awesome. :)

I got the shirt online somewhere. I found an ad for the website in the back of a magazine. I surprised Sei on Valentine's day with it. :)

well you must be the cutest wife ever with that Tshirt!
Love your entries thus far. You are an entertaining writer.
I just did a huge vent on my blog... how in the world do you stay sane with more than one child in your care... I am losing it and it's only been 5 months! I am just sooo tired!

PS - Am I the only one who LOVES The Wonder Pets? Seriously, I think it's so funny.

nice, this blogging is a nice outlet. I need to lose about 20 lbs. However I have little willpower or motivation, that's just me.
