I'm Baaaaacccckkkkk!!! (Kinda)

Well, we are now officially moved into our home. I hate moving and I never want to do it again. It has been crazy! My mom came up last Tuesday and stayed for 6 days. If she hadn't come we'd have been screwed. She watched the kids basically all day and nite while Sei and I worked our butts off. I guess working my "butt off" is just a saying because my butt is still big and still here... but whatever. Last Tuesday I had a cleaning company come thru our new home and deep clean it. May I recommend that to anyone buying a home that has been lived in? I had no desire to clean other people's filth, pubes off the bathroom floor, pee off the toilet and any other gross things like that. The people living in our home were renters and basically trashed it. They yard is bad too. The backyard grass literally looks like hay lying ontop of dirt. Needless to say, the neighbors are glad we are here. Sei and I were up past 1 am everynite last week painting, pulling up carpet, moving things over, cleaning the old house, etc... We were pooped!! But we're in now and extremely happy that last week is over! We have layed wood floor, new carpet and started painting. It looks so much better already! And we like our new church ward. Someone brought us dinner on Sunday and another family brought us cookies on Monday. We feel very welcomed and very relieved to be out of our old house. We do miss our old neighborhood and friends, but I feel confident we will feel just as "at home" in our new area.

Congratulations! Nothing shows you what you are capable of physically like moving. Well, except maybe labor. Both things you'd rather not ever do again!

Yay for your very own house! Yay for new flooring! Yay for your mom! I am glad things are looking good. The guy in our house is getting another divorce and getting a guy roommate. Crap.

Tori, you are missed. I am so glad your trechorous week is over. Moving is the pits... I never want to do it again either! I am glad you feel so welcome in your new place. Getting new flooring and fresh paint always feels good too! Email me your new information!
