Perfect 10!!

Welp, Izzy's big 1st gymnastics meet was on Saturday! She a nervous and excited and I was worse. ;) We twisted her hair into little buns the nite before to help her get the "ultimate curls" for her pony tail...

The next morning we poofed her hair out and sprayed in some glitter. Isn't she beautiful??

The meet was for levels 4, 5 and 6. Isabel is a level 4 and she was one of the youngest girls at the meet. There was maybe 8 other 7 year olds. The level 4s ranged from 7 to 11 or 12 year olds. She did great!! Overall she received a bronze medal for her overall scores in level 4. In individual events she placed and received ribbons for 2nd on vault, 3rd on floor and 4th on beam and bars. On the bars, bless her heart, she over-rotated on her straddle spin (I don't know if that's what it's called, but she's straddling the bar and spinning...) so that messed her up a little. Other than that she was doing perfect-o! So, I think if she hadn't over rotated she would have probably placed 2nd. The beam makes her nervous, but she had the best handstand out of the level 4s if I do say so myself! On floor- oh she was a cutie! I tried downloading the video onto Youtube and whatnot, but my computer is just too darn slow! It had been uploading for 3 hours when my internet connection was lost. Can you say BUGGED?? Anyway- Izzy did great. After the meet her brothers and Daddy brought her some roses. She has her next meet October 7 and is stoked... and so am I!!

WAY TO GO IZZY!

We are SO PROUD of you!!!

That is so cool! I think it will be so fun once my kids can actually pick what sports they want and compete! I can't wait to be the proud mom yelling at the ref.

Congratulations, Izzy! That is such a wonderful thing for her to do so well at something. Fabulous self esteem booster! And I love the bun look as much as the curly ponytail!
