Everybody Loves Tori

I feel bad. Last nite we let the kids have a few friends over for pizza and to hang out at the "Cool House". There was probably 6 or 7 extra boys here between the ages of 9 and 12. They went outside to play flag football, so I thought it was safe for me to play Playstation Dance, Dance Revolution. (Stop laughing. I rock. Not.)

.

So I'm down stairs suckin' it up on the dance pad when 3 or 4 of the boys including my Alec come down. Ok, embarrassing... Anyway, a couple of the boys start saying how "cool" I was. "My mom wouldn't even get on the dance pad..." (Yeah- she has some shred of diginity to hold on to.) Then Alec starts exagerrating my scores and I said, "Alec, you're so full of crap." Um, yeah. Did I mention I have a BAD habit of saying "crap"- a lot?? It's not my fault. It's Frank Barone's from Everybody Loves Raymond. "What in the holy name of crap are you talking about??" is an actual quote from Frank.
Anyway, I love Frank, but I did pick up a bad habit from him. Well, I said the whole "You're full of crap Alec" and Omar, one of the kids, said, "Wow! Your mom says crap?? My mom never says crap! That's awesome." Ok, why don't I just go pick up a keg for the kids? I'm so bad. I just said, "That's because your mom is a better person than me..." (Hang head in shame. Exit room.)

What's not to love? You are so cool, Tori, even to the adults.

Isn't it sad that Frank died? I am so sad about that!

You're crazy, "crap" is an awesome word!

I think it is totally awesome that you are cool among the 9-12 yo set! I, myself, am pretty popular with the preschoolers! :)

Of course we all love you! You are cool! And I think it's great that the kids love you. It will keep them out of trouble, cause they won't want to disappoint you.

So, yes you rock and now you have power, too!

Yep, Everybody Loves Tori!

You go girl. . .

I wonder about the words I'm using. Then again, if you're the cool mom and the cool mom says "crap," that's a ringing endorsement!

Frank was the funniest grouchy man ever.
Tori, you are such a cool mom, did you tell those kids about your blog? That would have put you at #1 spot of the COOL Moms Race.
You win!

And I think you could've picked up MUCH worse things from Frank!

Hahaha! I think you're a great mom. I grew up thinking that "crap" was not a bad word. I say it much more than I should... How would that be to be the cool mom??? :D

First off, you remind me of my mom. She always is doing cool, hip stuff. You are way cool. Second, my mom always says crap, but tells us not to say it when she hears us. silly moms...but anyway, Alec's friend's moms are just boring and not cool like you. Dont hang your head in shame...be proud that you are awesome!

I've loved Frank since he was the monster in Young Frankenstein. PUTTIN ON DA RIIIIIIITZ!!! And "crap" is a big word around here too. Sometimes I cringe when I hear my kids say it, but not enough to stop saying it myself.

You are WAY too cool. You'll be the kind of mom that amorous teenagers write songs about (Alec's mom has got it going on).

We tell our kids all the time what cool parents they have. ;)
