Turn that frown upside down

Sorry for the bummer post yesterday. Sometimes I'm such a dork and I make it worse by reading the Crime Library website. Duh. Anyway... I did Dance Dance Revolution for 2 hours last nite. My calves are sore, but my spirits are much higher. Ü

Izzy has her 1st meet of the season today. I am stoked! This is her first meet competing as a level 5. We've talked about how this is her "practice season" as a "Fiver" so she shouldn't be disappointed if she's not earning ribbons and medals left and right like on level 4. Her gym had a judge come to practice and score the girls. Isabel had the 2nd highest score on the floor- out of levels 5 and 6!! She also had the 5th highest overall score for her team. That means she scored higher than 4 other girls- all who have been on level 5 for almost a year. Isabel has been on level 5 since January sometime of this year. She is a cutie and such a hard worker. She sets goals for herself and works hard to meet them. I am so glad she has found something she loves. And she does love it. And she's good at it. She has such natural talent.
Anyway.... I will post how she did later tonite or tomorrow. Thanks for all y'alls encouraging comments. I especially like the advice from Toni to "pop a pill or something." ;)

Don't feel bad about your post. We share those feelings too. You're not alone there. I have a post called "Scary Men" that I have sitting in my "drafts" pile from an evening where I was dwelling on all the ugliness in the news and the scary things that have happened to me over the years. I haven't posted it, but sometimes it just feels good to write it down.

Yayy for Izzy, can't wait to read your next post!

I hate watching the news for the same reason. It freaks me out, and then when I am home by myself w/ my kids and w/o my husband... I never want to go to bed (as if that will prevent anything from happening!) Glad you're feeling better!

Congrats to Izzy... doesn't it make you feel so good when your kids succeed!? It does me!
