All about poop

Livie is picking up new signs all the time: shoes, no, milk, sit, stop, go, jump, hot, wet, all done, signing time and her all time favorite: BATH. Everytime she's done eating she signs "All done" and then "Bath." When I get her out of her high chair she runs to the bathroom signing "bath" the entire time. It's too funny!! But that's where the fun ends. For the past week everytime Liv has been in the bath, without fail, she has pooped! The bath works as a laxative or an enema for her or something. It's driving me crazy. I have to throw her in, bathe her as quickly as I can, because if not she'll poop before she is clean. But, on the upside, Taj thinks it's awesome to get a bathroom cup and scoop poop out the of the tub. Go figure. I need to teach Liv the sign for poop. Taj used to sign it as he yelled really loudly in church "I need to go poop!!!"
Oh- speaking of Taj and poop, yesterday Taj went #2 in the toilet and when he was done Alec asked "Tajy, did you flush?" Taj said, "No. Don't flush it! They are my friends." Alec and I looked at each other like, "What!?!??" I dared ask, "Who's your friends?" "My poop. They are my little poop friends." Um, ok...
Hey- you knew what this post was about by the title. Don't say you weren't warned.

Weekly Muffin Report: Well, I suck. I did run 4 days last week averaging about 3 miles a day. And it felt good. Then my parents came in town, we had a baptism, Taj got strep, etc... and I got off track. But things will be back to normal starting tomorrow and I vow to do better.

You're doing great! I can't believe you ran 12 miles last week! 7.5 here. I'm up to running 6.1 miles per hour though, so I feel pretty good about that. That's my fastest rate so far. As far as the muffin goes, my belly is looking scary! I read yesterday that running burns good calories but that the body gets to chose where the fat comes from that it burns. For women, the last place it will pick to burn from is the belly. That explains why the rest of me is getting trimmer, but my waist isn't changing measurements at all. So, I guess I need to do more than just run to rid that belly, the love handles, etc. So discouraging.

Anyways, sorry for the long post. Good on you for your hard work. I was going to start going to the gym everyday starting today as I'd LOVE to lose 5-10 pounds before I head home next month. Something always comes up though, you know how that goes. Having kiddos make getting fit a bit more challenging. I almost feel selfish for wanting an hour to myself everyday to exercise.

Love the poop stories! Mostly because I can so relate. My kids usually run out of the bathroom screaming if Megan poops in the tub. I would too if I could, but I can't.

As far as the muffin report goes, you are doing awesome. Every little bit helps. At least that is what I keep telling myself.

why is it that they always poop in the tub? We haven't had that in awhile (crossing my fingers)

great on the 12 miles!

I have yet to see poop in my bathtub. I now feel very fortunate for that. Liam has never peed on me while changing a diaper either... so who knows. I am sure the potty training will kick my butt later and Livie will be easy as pie!

Funny post, Tori. And good luck working on your fitness as Fergie would say... ;)

3 miles a day? WOW! that's awesome.
I've ran 3 miles; 3 miles total in 10 years. Yeah.

That was a whole lotta poop info. I had no idea about the bath-poop effect. Hmmmm.

Concerning your muffin report--I would think you are doing very well--I thought I was doing good and I only ran twice--a mile each time--plus I walked about 7 miles for the week.
Kids are so funny about "potty talk"--I think we all have some great stories!
