Highlites

Here's a few highlites from Father's day and my trip to Texas. More to come.

Sei's Dad's day present - Even Superman Needs a Dad painting by Liz Lemon Swindle

Sweet reunion in Texas! Livie loves her siblings!

Finally meeting my nephew, Mason. What a sweetie!! (I look freakin' old in this pic- except for the teenage like zits...) Mason is ginormous BTW. He is maybe an inch shorter than Livie and outweighs her by 2 pounds. He's also 8 months younger...

Ok, Texas just rocks. That's all there is to it. Where else would you see something like this? I had to stop and take a picture. Utah is beautiful and everything, but man, I miss living in Texas.:)

To be continued...

I'm a mother to 6 little native Texans, and yeah, Texas does rock! Not only that, but according to one country group, "God Blessed Texas."

Okay, Miss Tori-

A. You do NOT look old. Talk to me in 10 years.

B. VERY cute painting. I love it!

C. Very cute, wonderful family! And how nice to come home to a new bedroom set!

D. We drove from Arizona to Michigan in 2005, and we stopped at a rest area with, no kidding, a ginormous star carved out of one huge wall. I missed this particular picnic area, but Texas is, after all, a huge place. Oh, we also saw several HUGE crosses near the freeway (I-40).

That's a lovely roadside stop and all, but why won't they just give us one toilet? Please?

my kids want to stop at one of those "picnic areas" some time, sadly it's so dang hot and they are never by a pool so I ahven't yet.

Glad you had fun!

I know this may seem really weird being that you don't know me. I live in CA. Years ago my friend gave me a card with this picture on it and I have been trying to find the poem that came with it to give to my husband for father's day. I googled the title and your blog came up. By chance did your every superman needs a dad painting come with the story? If so would you mind e-mailing it to me. troy_jenmcneil@msn.com. Thanks a bunch. Sorry again, I know it is really weird to ask, just hoping you have it. Thanks!
