A Sucky Thank you: Edited

Sorry if I freaked any of y'all out with last nite's post. I know there will always be lurkers, but if you're gonna sit and read 45 pages of my blog for 3 hours you really should comment. And whoever it was found it by G00gling "swampbrat blog." So they were looking for me. But no worries people... I'm about 90% I know exactly who it was & I find it rather humorous. Or, I could be wrong & if so, then I'm a little wigged out.

Anyway... on with my post. I got some good mail this week which I absolutely LOVE!! I never thought I would be so happy to receive mail, but I get all giddy. Sei will come in with the mail and say "You got some good mail!!!" because he knows it'll make me smile.

Thank you Lauren, for the cutsie card. I especially enjoyed the stick people drawing of "Sei + Tori = LOVE." I wish I was that skinny... And thank you Awesome Mom for the recipe. I made it the nite I received it. It was YUM!! And totally fast to make. I meant to take a picture of it, but ate it instead... What a great idea for Good Mail. Now, here's where I suck. I can not remember if the cute "Tori" tag came with the recipe from Awesome Mom or came in another package... I save all my Good Mail cards but if one came with this tag I have misplaced it. I feel horrible. So, if you are the awesome tag maker please comment so I can put your name up in lites. ;) Thank you!!

Edited to add: Thank you SoDak for letting me know that it was Catherine at CharmingBB who made the cutie, patootie tag for me. Thank you so much!!!

Talking to kids update: I've left 4 messages at the house, 1 on his cell phone and called the kid's cell phone several more times. It's still turned off. 1 time when I called his house a woman picked up the phone and was talking to a small child. I think whoever it was actually was trying to make a call. I said "Hello??" several times with no response. So, I hung up and called right back. No answer. I emailed my ex and he responded last nite saying he hadn't "had time to check the messages", but he'd tell the kids I called. Yeah- I won't hold my breath. I called again this morning (10:15am their time) and there was no answer. Left another message... Oh, wait... is that my cell phone ringing!?? Why yes it is! It's the KIDS!! YAY!!!

I'm glad you've been able to talk to your kids. You are nice because if I were in you situation I'd be on the phone or on the plane to attack the other woman or I'd be cursing him out on the phone. Yes, I am very civil. I'll have to admit I do read your blog without leaving comments sometimes. . .but not for three hours. That's kinda stalkerish.

Hi, I don't consider myself a lurker because I read blogs fully clothed and don't chortle or snort when I laugh. Much.
I got all scared that I was the 3 hour lurker because I often click on a blog to read and then get interrupted. For like, 3 hours. But, I didn't google your name, I followed you from linking through 5 other blogs, like a normal blog stalker.
However, I am a comment brat and I have made a rule not to force comments---they make me feel cheap. :)
But,I did just start reading you and I really like your style.
And while I'm overtaking your comment section, let me just say, you have a beautiful family and not getting to talk to my kids for that long would have killed me. You are a better person than I, I am ALL about payback.
I'm also often--all talk. :)

Wow, sorry about the silent fan. That's kind of weird.

But soooo happy you got to talk to the kids. I sent Austin with a cell phone so that he could call when he needed to. I couldn't have done that though if Jeremy didn't have an extra cell that we use for free. It's kind of a back up phone. I'm so sorry your x is like that. That's so unfortunate. Would it be an option to send your oldest with a prepaid phone next time?

Anyhoo, they will be home soon. I can relate to your missing them. Austin comes home tomorrow!! Wooo hooo!

Yayy for you and the good mail! I need to get some stuff in the mail. Still trying to think of some ideas...

I really hope that phone call was your kids. I can feel how much you miss them.

I hope it was your kids. I'd go nuts if I couldn't talk to my kids EVERY day.

Ok, so I must be totally lame because I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get on this good mail list. I went over to the good mail blog and all I found was a post explaining what it is. So, if you could help me out here, that'd be great!!

I love how your music always compliments your post! Sorry for the weird lurker. Can you train me how you do that? I still haven't wised up enough to do that yet.

Yay for good mail! I am going to start joining in the fun. I got a package from Suzanne on Friday and it just felt so, well, GOOD!

*smile* Thank you so much for MY good mail-

I appreciate it- So fun, I agree to receive, and I had a dang lot of fun, sending out my first attempts.

I totally understand the frustration- of not being able to talk to your kids. It isn't fair or right, and I have experienced similar things.

*Hugs* Have I told you, how beautiful your family is?

Much love-

I'm so glad you go to talk to the kids! How frustrating!

The other night I was blog hopping, and as I clicked on links and kept hopping I noticed that I had left one blog open for quite a while ...whoops! I don't think it was your blog, though...

I'm so glad you got to hear from your kiddies! Does your ex and his wife really think you're foolish enough to fall for their little game? Of course they're home!

I am glad that you loved the recipe! It is one of my favorites and I love how fast it comes together, it is perfect for a night that you don't feel like cooking something fancy yet it looks like you spent hours on it.
