The Family Circus

Mornings with Livie are my favorite. When she wakes up in the morning, she'll chill in her crib (literally) for a while, just talking to herself. When she's ready to get out she'll start yelling "MOM! MOM!!" (Can you tell she has older siblings??) Then when I open the door she yells "Holla!!" Yes- as in "Holla at a playa!" Seriously.
Yesterday I put her hair up in piggy tails. Too stinkin' cute. Here's all the great pictures I got of her:

Yeah- none. The little punk wouldn't sit still. Can't wait til family photo time! The one at the top of this page took like 17 shots. When Taj would smile, Karlea would be lookin' at the ceiling. When Liv would actually look in the general direction of the camera, Alec would be making a Napoleon Dynamite face. It's always Karlea or Alec doing something spazzy, like squinting when there's no sun...

Yesterday I decided to clean out Alec and Tristan's backpacks. They're coming home this week and I hadn't touched anything in their room except for the snake. So... I'm going thru Alec's backpack and he has his journal from school. Can I tell you I was so proud when I saw the decorations he had scribbled on the front: "MASTER OF PUPPETS" "OZZY OSBOURNE" "CRAZY TRAIN" "SAD BUT TRUE" "METALLICA" He is sooooo my son!! He asked Walker to make him a "cool cd" before he left on his mission. Woogs got a little carried away and made him 5. Alec loves them!! He and Tristan both really like hairband and rock music. Awww yeah!

Sometimes I think Sei LIVES to be the subject of one of my posts. He thrives on it. The other nite, instead of making the ugly faces while we brushed our teeth, he just bent his legs to make himself like 5 inches shorter than me. Now, Seiuli isn't a tall man to begin with, but he's 4 or 5 inches taller than me, so we work. But I just get wigged out when he makes his body all... well, midgety. And he stood like that the entire time we brushed our teeth. He even pulled his arms into his sleeves a little to make him weirder looking. Why oh why must he torture me??? Or like, he'll ask me to crack his back. That means he lays face down on the floor and I sit on his back and push with my hands down his spine. Only, he won't just lay down normal. He has to lay there and stick his butt way up in the air. Ok, you liked my "Holy Gay!" comment the other day?? Well... it would apply here too.

PS. I'm leaving the song & movie quote from yesterday up for today too. It's Woog's Pday today so he'll be able to check his email & my blog. :)

Your family picture is so cute! I never would have guessed it took so many shots to get the right one.

Your husband sounds like such a crack up. Maybe if you 'accidently' spit toothpaste at him cuz your laughing so hard at his antics he'd stop. :D

Saturday night Scott and I spent like an hour on the couch making funny faces and taking pictures with the digital camera. I know it sounds lame, but it was so funny. He made me promise I wouldn't put any of the pictures on my blog. Does that count for the ones we took after I promised him??

Amanda- you and I should start a seperate "secret" blog just for women to post pics of their hubbys and their ugly faces!! I'd have new material everyday!

That is funny that you couldn't get a good photo of Liv... I SO wanted to see one too!

Awesome that Alec appreciates good tunes...

Sei is so hilarious!

I didn't know the missionaries could surf the net on P day. COOL!

Oh, and isn't it great that missionaries can e-mail now? I just sent my brother a message today because Mondays are his Pdays too! :)

You definately need to start that secret blog for pictures! My husband was putting down wood floor yesterday. At one point he looked like one of the silver back gorillas from Gorillas in the Mist so I snapped a picture. He made me promise not to put it on MY blog but he didn't say anything about anyone elses blog.....

I love your pics of Livi!!! They look just like the ones I was able to get of Shelby. She wouldn't hold still either and she had her hair undone before I could even get the camera turned on.

I love the picture at the top! I have always wondered how you got everyone to be 'perfect'. I feel much better now knowing that it wasn't on the first try!

What is it with our husbands not trusting us? I too get the forewarning before pictures are taken...Heaven forbid anyone know the real reasons we actually love them so much!

Kay Tori.... "Awesooooommmeeee, Shake It on LOooooVE!" Hannah's rendition that I couldn't remember the other day!

And yes our men love to be the center of our attention! Even if it requires shrinking 5" and lobbing off their arms! It's so cute that you brush teeth together (o: We do sometimes, but it needs to become a more frequent ritual.

Do you know what is sooo sad? Terry hadn't ever heard Amish Paradise! I showed it to her. She was enthralled! Thanks for leaving it up so I could teach my wife some music appreciation! She hasn't seen UHF either...I have some serious work cut out for me.

I make Papi scratch my back and I wiggle around like an appreciative puppy. When he pops my back, he actually stands on me so I've forbidden it now.
