Surprise revealed & then some...

I never told y'all what the surprise in the backyard was for Izzy. It was a tetherball pole/game/whatever. Isabel told us she wanted one, but I don't think she was actually expecting to get it. It was actually the easiest thing to set up in the backyard. $10 for the metal fence post. $2 for a bag of cement. $8 for the tetherball and rope. Sei set it up a couple of days before the kids got home and it has become an instant favorite of the kids. You can constantly hear someone saying "Yesss! Yessss! Yessss!" like Napoleon Dynamite.Taj was so funny the nite before the kids came home. He was lying on my bed and he said, "Mom, I'm ready for the kids to come home." Hmmm... I wonder who he'd been listening too. "The kids?" Another time he said, "I wish I had some brothers." How sad is that?:( Did I mention I'm so happy all the kids are here??

Isabel starts gymnastics at a new gym on Wednesday. It's a lot closer to home. She will be training for level 6. She was moved to level 5 in January and they think she will be ready to compete on level 6 by next January. It makes me so nervous because it's a huge commitment for such a little girl. But I've told her over and over "If you are ever not having fun anymore please tell me!!" But she just smiles and says, "Ok!" as she flips all over the house. :)

A favorite family game is Scene It. We usually play the Disney or Nickelodeon version. Tristan and I can never be on the same team quite simply because, well, we dominate. So, last nite we played girls vs. guys. Holy LOL!! Everytime it was an "All Play" question- which means everyone can try to answer- Tristan and were full on YELLING our answers, while we looked at each other. I don't know how many tie breakers we had to have against each other. The funniest was whoever could do the best Donald Duck impression. For some reason I felt the need to do a chicken walk while I did my impression. Tristan said something like, "Over & out" like he was talking in a walkie talkie. Yeah, I won that one. The most amazing part of the game is that we actually got thru the entire game without anyone crying. YAY!!

How cute with the tether ball! That's funny about no one crying. "D" gets so upset when he doesn't win a game! LOL!

I loved tetherball when I was in grade school. I had a little rhyme I would say every game before I totally kicked the rear of whoever I was playing against. (Lets just say that my first name rhymes with tether...)

I didn't know family games were humanly possible to finish, let alone finish successfully.

We play Apples To Apples as a family a lot.

And in private, there's nothing like an erotic game of strip Candyland with my Papi.

Scene it sounds like a blast! I love stuff like that. Can't wait til Noah and Bella are old enough to play games like that with Jeremy, Austin, and I. Jeremy is so competetive too; it's funny! I love having friends over to play games because they never know how insane and charismatic we are during games. They seem all shocked and they always from intimidation! We're crazy...

Your family is so much fun!
