To Protect & Serve

Sei and I have often discussed what kind of a cop I would make. I actually think I would make a kick butt detective. If MEN can find details that solve crimes, think how much better a WOMAN would do?? I really do like the brainwork that would be involved in crime solving, but I don't think I could handle seeing real dead people, etc... But anyway, that's getting off the subject. When Sei and I have these discussions I always admit that I would suck as a police officer because if there was some throw-down at the jail or during an arrest, I am sooooo NOT diving in. I'm gonna stand back and let the guys handle it. Why? Because guys are built for that. Well, maybe not Kip or Napoleon, but the majority of males are stronger than me. I'm not gonna jump in to prove some stupid feminist point. When Sei worked at the jail he told me this little lady deputy who was probably 50 would get bugged when she wasn't included in takedowns or whatever. Ok- that SO would not be me. I like to be protected. And I think men should be the protectors.
I re-read New Moon by Stephenie Meyer over the last few days. I'm getting ready for the release of Eclipse on August 7.
(Eek!!) Anyway, there are TONS of times while I was reading it (and in Twilight) that I was just like "Awww...." & totally just wanted to make out with my husband because Edward would step in front of Bella to protect her ("...with a low growl in his throat..." Does anyone else find that sexy??) or when Jacob says "Phase or get her out of here???" trying decide the best way to protect Bella. (I'm trying not to give things away.) Call me crazy, but to me, that's just HOT & a total turn on! I'm gonna go kiss Sei now.

You'd make a wonderful detective!

I've always thought it would be so cool to do that!

Did Hubby have a good b-day?

Happy Thursday!

Well I agree that men should be the protectors of women, but that said- since all aren't I am certain you could take one down with no problem!

I am so glad Allen provides a life where I don't have to be hard and tough. Obviously, your handsome hubby does the same for you.

PS- I love the new siggy.

Yep, I'm exactly the same way. I love to have my say in stuff, but once the action starts, I like to step back and have men handle things.

And yes, Edward and Bella are hot! I'm sure my hubby has noticed that I'm much more amorous after reading those books! I'm trying to decide if I should order Eclipse on Am@zon, but I'd better hurry because I'm just about out of time...

Um the book thing scares me. But, at my juvenile prison there is a whole slew of little 4 foot something women guards and they keep those thugs in check! But, when there is a fight and only a female guard around the boys will sometimes ask permission to help break up the fight. Maybe the boys are hoping the guard will feel grateful....

Wait? A growl? Thats it? Wheres the heaping helping of heaving bosoms? What about a Nacho Libre moment where he 'used his strength to reep his blouse?'

I think Edward is a grump. And I don't get why Bella is always sitting on everyone's lap...But other than that, I think I'd go for Jacob over Edward. I'm not into pale, cold guys.

But yes, I always said I could never be with anyone I felt like I could beat up. :-)

Oh Sister, I'm a Jacob fan 100%! Have you read New Moon yet? Yummy. I told Ali she could have Edward, but Jacob is mine. :)

My daughter is reading that series. Is that appropriate?

You know, I work at a jail, sometimes. It's a very interesting experience.

Once, there was an altercation.. with an inmate. The guard, literally THREW me in a closet, and shut the door... and stood there in front of it, until the situation had been taken care of.

I feel confident, but I liked feeling protected too.

I have and wear a concealed weapon, most of the time. Yet,I never ever want to use it.

Does that make sense?

Anyway- GOOD READ!

Yes, I read New Moon while we were on vacation. That's why I like Jacob best. I liked New Moon better than Twilight, although I can't decide if I even like Bella. She's kind of too wimpy or something.

I'm buying New Moon as soon as I'm done with the Deathly Hallows.
I like my men manly. Secure and protected are good feelings.
