Kids are K.RAZ.EE!!

Tristan is starting tackle football. He's just a little excited. He's been wearing his football uniform- including all the pads- around the house for days. I took him to get contacts because he can't wear his glasses with his helmet. But I really think he was more excited about his jockstrap and new cup than he was about the contacts. He had it on his head while he talked to me. Should I be worried?
I don't know what it is with boogers and kids, but they seem to go hand in hand. Sei said he found 2 HUGE boogers stuck inbetween the couch cushions. When I said, "Gross! Who stuck boogers on the couch!?" Tristan kept asking, "What color were they??" (You know- so he could positively ID his boogers.) Isabel and Alec denied ever sticking boogers anywhere besides on a kleenex and when I asked Taj if he stuck them in the pillows he said, "No. I don't stick them under the pillows!" Like I was so dumb to think he might stick them UNDER the pillows! Hello!! He has better hiding places than that! Duh.

A radiologist looked at Livie's xrays and called to let us know that she actually has a fracture in her elbow. He said it was "insignificant" but that we should keep an eye on her. If she pops it out again or falls on it, etc... we may want to bring her back in. Her arm seemed fine on Sunday when she pulled Sei's glasses off and chucked them across the aisle and 2 rows back hitting an old lady in the arm. Nice.

Tori--I have to tell you how much I love reading your blog. Have to tell you a funny story about the cup: The first year of little league for my oldest found one of the little guys who didn't know what the cup was put it up to his face like an oxygen mask. Aren't kids the greatest!!!

Sure hope your little Livie's arm is o.k.

Ohh, poor Livie! I hope she gets to feeling better. She looks like she's being a good sport about it. Kids are so resilient!

The football story is so funny. Austin started football too. He's super psyched. He can't take his football gear home or I think he too would be strutting around the house with all his gear on. Too funny! I can't wait for Austin's first game. I'm going to make a t-shirt that screams that the Quarterback is MY BOY! Mine! He made me promise not to embarrass him by screaming too much at the games. :-(

Awesome! I love the real life that you post. I love laughing with you, because my kids do some of the same things. I just forget about them when I am blogging:)

Ah, the lovely nose goblins. Maybe I should be thankful that my couch has varying green brown and tan colors so that the boogers will blend in.

My little Norman was much too sensitive to play silly games like football.

Yvonne- LOL at your cup story!! And thank you for the sweet compliments.

Stepherz- We'll have to swap psycho-parent stories thru out the season. You know there will be some (not counting us of course!!)

Kayelyn- I've started writing things down so I don't forget.

Heffalump- I bet you never thought that having a booger colored couch could come in handy, huh?? ;)

NBMomma- My kid can beat up your kid.

I saw on the discovery channel that in ancient times boogers
were dried and consumed in times of famine. if now were then your kids would be practicing their storage and foraging skills

So I guess Livie has selective arm abilities? Was she a crabby old lady or a sweet one? Kidding... :D LOL at Tristan's cup on his head!

I LOVED THIS POST!!!
Jock strap on the head...haha!
One year at Easter, we had a jock strap haging on the clothesline...it made a sweet hiding place for an egg!

Furniture boogers...nice.

Flying glasses in church...that's amazing!

Poor little Livie! I hope it heals quickly. :(

Jean knee- Well, then we've got a great supply going. I guess if I was hungry enough...

Sodak- Oh yeah. It's non-stop fun here.

Suzanne- She was kinda grumpy, but she started laughing, so that's good.

Heidi- NEVER!! Liv also likes to yell "HI!!" "HI!!" to Tristan while he passes the sacrament.

Annie- Thank you!! Me too.

Heffalump- 1989 was a happenin' year.

Amanda- Yep, without my kids or Seiuli my blog would suck.

Wendy- I've found that same wall at our house. Hmmm...

Nancy Face- Easter eggs and jockstraps LOL!!

Emily- One day Jonah will have a jockstrap on his head. :)

Evil Kitty thinks that Norman should play football with Evil Kitty. Norman knows how to pet Evil Kitty just right.

I found boogers on the wall by my kids' beds. GROSS! Why? Why do they do such things?

normanbatesmomma said...

Norman is much too busy running the motel to play silly games. Besides, I wouldn't want my sweet Evil Kitty to get hurt. Come sit in Momma's lap.

Are they really old enough for tackle football?
