Random Thoughts from Tori :)

Lisa M. tagged me for an 8 random thoughts meme!! Since my blog is all random thoughts anyway, I thought this would be fun and easy. All I have to do it stick numbers in front of my randomness. Woo hoo! Thanks Lisa!!

1. Yesterday I registered Tristan for jr. high. I had to teach him how to do a combination lock on his locker. Isabel- my 8 year old- knows how to, but my almost 13 year old didn't. He is male, so it's not surprising.

2. Sei told me Tuesday nite that he might would like it if I didn't come to bed in "XXL shirts and baggy pants all the time." Whaaa?!!?? We've been married 6 years and he never mentioned that he didn't like my sexy sleepwear... Any ideas for what I should wear? I'm not wearing sexy nighties. I'd feel like a dork.

3. Def Leppard is coming to concert on Sept. 7 and I AM GOING!!!! Na ner na ner na ner!! :P I'm stoked! If it's 1/2 as awesome as last year than it's gonna ROCK!!

4. Sei and I decided to build a skate ramp for the side of our house. Just a little 1/2 pipe. I'm stoked. I'm also getting a new board. Hopefully I won't pull a Jake Brown (Of course, our ramp won't be this big... 53 sec.):

5. I haven't worked out in over a month- other than Dance, Dance Revolution. I've vowed to get back on a regular workout schedule when school starts. I'm thinking Dance, Dance is good. Come on over UtMommy!!

6. Taj just said "Whaa-freakin'-whaa!!" I wonder where he heard that from... ;)

7. I realized 1/2 way thru registering Tristan that my zipper was down. Nice. Tristan said he didn't notice. Again, I am not surprised one bit.

8. It has come time to admit that I am addicted to my Diet Dr. Pepper. The other morning we didn't have any coke at home (Texan for any type of soda), so I took Isabel to gymnastics and ran to Old Navy without having some. Ok- 10 minutes into my shopping trip I thought I was gonna fall over head 1st into my basket. I needed that caffiene. Horrible, I know.

Now it's your turn. If you'd like to participate in this 8 random thoughts meme, let me know so I can come see your answers. :)

Totally fun Meme! I love Taj's "Whaa-freakin'-whaa!!"

Target and Wally World have fairly good-looking short sleeved, t-shirt nighties, and lots of pretty pajamas. I'm currently wearing my Secret Treasures short sleeve, knee-length pink nightie with butterflies on the boobs. Uh-oh...now I'm creeping myself out-I'm telling you what I'm wearing like some perv! Eeek! :)

Take Sei lingerie shopping and after he's good and embarrassed, maybe he'll rethink the "wear something else" idea.

how cool. reading that "coke" is texan for any kind of soda brought back all kinds of memories from when i was living with my aunt and uncle in fort worth for a couple of months. my aunt is a texas native and said coke all the time with her cute little accent.

anyway, my bro in law showed me that painful youtube video last week. eeek, do you see the equipment flying?! don't try any stunts like that!

You PJ dilemma is cracking me up because it reminds me of Tina Fey on 30 Rock when she pulls a tissue from her flannel pajama pocket and acts like it's so sexy! I wonder if that episode is on youtube...

Tori :) said...

Help!- Target is my store. I'll have to check it out!

Millie- EXCELLENT idea!! bwahaha!

Aubrey- I know! His shoes flying off his feet scared the crap out of me. We were watching it live and Sei was like, "Tori, you're scaring the kids!" because I was freakin' out.

Gina- Sounds funny! I'll have to see if I can find that episode. Sei watches it, but I haven't seen many episodes.

Here is the episode, but the video plug in won't work for me...

I love cute jammies. I prefer crisp cotton pants and a t-shirt.

I bought some capri length pj pants at old navy in the clearance a couple months ago. not too hot, and not to mom-ish, and not too embarrassing if I'm still wearing them at 10am.

Can't wait to see photos of you on your new board!

You haven't worked out in a month--other than DDR, than my goodness you've worked out!!! I get tired every time I read everything you're doing. You are hilarious and I'm so glad I came across your blog. (Although sometimes it's a little intimidating because I could never come up with such funny stuff to write. I'm too boring.

Saw that "adventure" with Jake Brown and couldn't believe it. Now when my 16 y.o. goes to the skate park, I'm glad we don't have anything quite like that!!!

Def Leppard is coming to Grand Junction next month and I'm sooooo sad I can't go! Not exactly a great place for kiddos. Hopefully they will come again next year, or maybe the next. I'm so happy for you that you get to go!

Zach started jr. high this week, and he's better at combination locks than his mom.

Your own skate ramp?! You & Sei are the coolest parents! :D

Dr. Pepper is my favorite soda ever...but I love the regular kind, all packed with sugar!

Suzanne said...

I'm like Nancy and I'll take the sugar kind of Dr. Pepper! :D

I'm no help with the jammies, at all!

I think it's so funny when kids start to say the things their parents do! They're like little sponges. :D

#1 I registered my two oldest for Jr. High this morning. Guess I should stop and pick up a combination lock at the hardware store for them to practice on.

#2 My choice on this is a tank top and boxer shorts.

#3 Can I come to Utah and go to the concert with you?

#8 I am addicted to Diet Pepsi but whenever I go thru Hico, Tx I have to stop and pick up a Dublin Dr Pepper. Remember those?????

cap sleeve fitted shirt with board shorts or capri's. that should make him happy.

Amanda said...

This was a lot of fun!!! You do random well! :D

In the summer I wear only my tighty whities to bed. How's that for sexy?

No Cool Story said...

I just watch the video from Gina's linkie. Oh man, that's hilarious, down to the tissue in her pocket :)

What is it with boys sometimes? Fashionista had to teach Firstborn how to use the locker.

My sexy sleepwear consists semi-baggy pants (Fashionista would call them "clown pants" or "man pants" and begged me to get rid of them, so I did)and fitting shirts (again Fashionista saved me from myself).
I love the video of the skater dude, too bad he fell :( he was Teh awesome.
You are too cool Tori!

CHEL said...

We are officially best friends because 1. you like Def Leppard and 2. you are going to their concert.

Yeah, don't worry big old tee's and baggy pants... but you don't have to wear nighties either. There are other sexy, comfortable and modest options.

CHEL said...

I meant to say don't wear big tee's... not worry big tee's oops

Suzanne- My little "sponges" need to stop listening to me...

Dana- Come to the concert! Woo hoo!!

Jenica- Great ideas. Thanks! Congrats on baby again!!

Amanda- "I'm too sexy for my Gs. Too sexy for my Gs..."

NCS- What would males do without females?? Never get into their lockers I guess...

Chel- I went to DL concert last year with Journey. It was RAD!!! Are you saying I can't wear my Def Leppard concert tee to bed anymore, or is that the exception??

Lisa M. said...

Ah, thank you- I'm glad you didn't mind the tag!

I just realized, I don't have you on my side bar- Forgive me. I am an idiot!

I love your randomness.

As for suggestions on what to wear to bed? Um. Try .. nothing.

*smirk*

Satin Jammies are great too . When i dropped off my son for this special Science Camp for 6th graders we waited while they loaded the bus and I talked to lots of parents and teachers and when I got home I had one of those stickers w/ the size listed abot 500 times down the stripe of my backside I was so embarressed but know I am 2 sizes smaller i want to do it again :>

I'm so there! Maybe we should set up a schedule!

I would so be walking around with my zipper down and not even notice it.

Jean Knee said...

wow, that's a lotta stuff you just said.
I can't imagine taking my kid to jr high. My Lean starts kindergarten on the 27 th and that is one giant freak out for me.

Bee said...

I had the exact same problem RE:the sleep wear also been married for 6 years. I didn't give up my XXL tee's but I stopped wearing the baggy pants. He was happy I was happy Nuff said.
Def Leppard rocks!

Lisa said...

Haha, coke is Texan for any kind of soda and I love that!

You do live at the park, don't you?! That is really cool to have the place to build the ramp!

David said...

millie's idea totally gave me a flashback! Terry and I were newlyweds and we were at the Victoria's Secret at University Mall (I think it was university Mall) when we saw the most horrible thing. A family shopping for lingerie together! The boy had to be close to 7 or 8. "Mom, this looks nice-get this, "says boy touching stuff I didn't know existed when I was that age!

Obviously, for Sei's sake and your son's sake-do not repeat this misadventure!

swampbaby said...

I would be FREAKING OUT if my oldest was going into junior high. First grade was tough enough. So, good luck with that...

I'll tell Sei to quit being such a guy. JK. Want to borrow my basketball shorts I sleep in? hee hee

Lauren said...

I love that you have a skate ramp! You are too cool for school!!

XXL tshirts are hott! what is he thinking?

tara said...

Go naked. that'll do! Maybe some boxer shorts? that'll be real cute with you 'white bike shorts' hangin out under neath! I did some random thoughts on my bloggity blog today.
How do you have time to read all these?!

Tori :) said...

Joyismygoal- I've done the Size sticker thing too! lol!!

UtMommy- Totally. For real. We'll set something up. It'd probably have to be during Liv's nap though. She's a DDR mat hog.

Jeanknee- Is it all day K? It was when Tristan went to Kind. and I was dying!!

David- I'll take Sei and all 7 kids!! LOL

Sister- I am freakin' out a little, but he seems like he'll be ok.
I have tried the sexy bball shorts... What i don't get is it's not like Sei is dressin' all sexy for bed. WHy do I??

Lauren- We don't have it yet. Sei's gonna build it. I am stoked! It will be interesting to blog my injuries. haha

tara- I don't really have time... but it's the summer so I can get away with sitting here for too long. ;)
