R U Slo???

Yes, I R. ;) Slow physically as discussed in my previous post, but also slow mentally. I had a pile of Good Mail to send and had been holding on to it thinking "I need to mail this at the post office." I thought each one would cost more than a regular stamp because there was a little goody inside. Ok, so I get to the post office and I'm using the automated machine out front- which totally rocks BTW. I was placing each envelope, one at a time, on the scale and typing in the zip code. They were all costing $.41 each. I was so bugged because I kept thinking "Sheesh. This is gonna take forever. I wish I could just buy a book of $.41 stamps!"

Yeah, shut up.

PS. Y'all go wish my great & oldest (as in I've known her the longest) friend, s--max, a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! She's older than me turning 32!!!

Ha Ha I'm first to mock you! You are too busy being happy that you are younger than your friend to realize you are so old the price of stamps has gone up to 41 cents! Ha Ha
:P

Hilarious! 41 cents seems like such an odd price for a stamp. I have a feeling it's just a weigh point until 50cents. Which, of course, will feature not a flag, but 50 cent the man!

I think we were twins separated at birth, that sounds like something I would SO do!!!

Narf! I can relate:)

I'm still thinking about how wonderful it would be to mail a letter for only 41 cents. Maybe you were jogging so fast that your brain hadn't caught up with you--just a thought.

It made me feel great to read this (and crack up!) because that is SOOO the kind of silly thing I would do! YAY, I'M NOT ALONE! ;)

Thank you so much for giving me a smile with the Good Mail!!! :D

I did that once. Then I got so annoyed with me that I ordered a bunch of books online.

However, I still take some letters to the post office, cause you just never know. . .

Well who can blame you with the price of stamps changing every other week. How's that for curmudgeonly sounding? And I'm 32, so I'm old enough to pull off curmudgeonly.

Here's my Dork Confession Of The Day:

My truck is standard while Papi had an automatic transmission. Sometimes we'll stop to talk while out on the street. I've said, "Papi!!!! Your car is rolling backwards!!!!" more times than I count. Ummmm, no, dorkus Infidelus, that would be YOUR stupid car rolling backwards, not his.

I love the automated postage machines too. I take care of everything in the middle of the night to avoid long lines because in theory if you're forced to spend money, should you have to add the aggravation of a long line, too?

Way to keep up with the price of stamps, you non-nose-glued-to-the-TV-waiting-for-stamp-price-updates chickie. :)

I am ashamed to admit that it's been so long since I bought stamps that I didn't realize they were 41 cents either.

I've purchased several books of those "forever stamps." I figure that in another 15 years or so, I'll sell them at the going rate and be able to retire on the profits.

Happy birthday, s--max!

Being a country bumpkin I have no idea what this automated contraption thingy is. I guess I'm going to have to make more trips to the city.
