Bragging on Livie

Livie is just picking up ASL signs right and left. She uses them a ton. Sometimes she'll bust out with a sign and I'm thinking, "When did she learn that one???" It's very impressive. So... I taped her signing a song she learned off Signing Time. Please excuse my singing in the background. I lost my voice all last week- although that's not the reason I sound bad. I just can't sing. :P (1:19)

Very cute!

Our stupid speakers broke so I watched with no sound. Looks like she's learning!

That Def Leppard shirt is cool.

The signing isn't so bad either.

Hope you are surviving... you have a lot on your plate. I wish you all the best!

Is she rockin' your Def Leppard shirt, or does everyone have their own?

It's so cool when small kids sign, she looks like she's doing very well with it! My kid can almost finger spell his name, and he knows a handful of other signs. In his preschool class, about a third of the kids have deaf parents (though the kids themselves are all hearing), so lots of signing goes on there.

Okay, I have tried to post so many comments on your blog and it has never worked, for some strange reason! :)
CONGRATS on the move, living by family is awesome!
Max is 19 months and still not saying much, he says maybe 1 or 2 words and I am supposed to get his hearing checked...do you think he's too old to start learning signs?
Livie is darling, by the way.

Hannemann family- I started doing signs with Taj when he was 14 or 15 months and he picked them right up. I think Max would do awesome!! I totally recommend Signing Time. Liv LOVES every dvd we have!
