Izzy's post

I asked Isabel what I should blog about today and these were her ideas:

~ "How I'm sick today..." She woke up sick today and wasn't able to start her new school!! I think it's sinus/allergy related and she'll be ok for tomorrow.
~ "How someone ate your cookies..." I bought a bag of Chips Ahoy chocolate chip cookies on Tuesday and someone ate the ENTIRE bag in a matter of an hour. No- not me. I don't know who, but it's gone. Not cool cookie-stealer. Not cool.
~ "How you had to wait at Tristan's school forever, ever and ever..." I was able to take Tristan to start his new middle school. We waited in the office FO-EVAH. I had registered him before the break, so I didn't get what the holdup was. Finally the receptionist said, "Tristan's mom?" (For real- she called me that.) "It looks like you've already turned in all the necessary things. You can leave him here and we'll get his schedule ready." So... I waited there for no reason. Then I took Alec and his school and teacher seem really nice. It's a new school.

And that was all of Izzy's ideas.
Here's my only idea:
At the Wal mart here they have carts that you can use for a dollar that play a little movie like Thomas the Tank Engine or Barney. You can also literally lock your kids inside them so they can't escape unless they are Liv- who dove out the front window and I would have run her over if a produce guy hadn't said "Oh watch out! Watch out!" Anyway... you aren't suppose to take these carts into the parking lot. You're suppose to load your groceries into a regular cart after you pay. Yeah, well... I forgot. And 1/2 way to my car the wheels on the tv cart locked. As in- I couldn't push it any further. As in- the cart was stuck behind some car that wasn't mine. As in- "Gee, I hope no one is watching..." I some how jerked it out from behind the car, but I couldn't move it down to my car so I had to walk back and forth past 4 or 5 cars to load my groceries. Nice. I don't think I'll forget again.

Okay, I'd totally pay a dollar to lock my boys in a cart! I hope Izzy feels better soon and the boys had a great day at school. Are you guys in your house or in a hotel in Texas?

I am so surprised that some kids are starting school already!!! I'm sorry Izzy is sick and hope she feels better soon so she can start at her new school

Heck, can you get episodes of Lost or something on those carts. That would be a great way to catch up!!!

So glad everything is going great for you in Texas.

Aw, porr Izzy! Hope she feels better!

That sucks about the cookies. My mom bought me this great cheddar spread for crackers for Christmas and my kid ate it all. Definitely not cool.

Wow. They kept you waiting at the school, for no reason, and called you "Tristan's mom?" Nice.

I just called my hubby at work to tell him about those carts at WalMart. And I think I may have to pay a visit to customer service at our WalMart and find out why we don't have them. After my last trip with Peaches screaming her way through the store, I would so pay a dollar (and reload the bags into another cart). LOL!

I'm not sure how you can focus on anything else when someone stole your cookies. Isn't Sei a cop? You should file a police report. Get the kids (and parents?) cuffed and interrogated. We'll see who steals your cookies again.

Isabel had great ideas! I need someone like that here. Last time I got a suggestion from someone, it was Ben, asking me to blog about the rash on his butt.

You need to strap a camera on you next time you go to Walmart. You have some interesting episodes with carts in their parking lots.

I hate those dumb carts. i mean, cool idea, but I never have a dollar and they don't hold as much, and the whole locking up on you thing. I guess that's one thing about Iowa... :)

Hey Tristan's Mom! Do you happen to have any cookies? Chips Ahoy by chance? I am little hungry...

So, Izzy's mom, if I had a little help for blogging I might actually have some funny and more frequent posts.

I promise I did not eat your cookies. But I wish I did. I have been hungry all day. I guess breakfast isn't enough to get you through the day. Well if the darn kids wouldn't have a crisis when their regular therapist was out of town I might have time for lunch.

Hope Izzy gets better soon. It kinda sucks to miss your first day of school.

Oh noes, they be stelin' yo cookies!

This is a great post idea. It's kinda a meme of sorts, "Ask your kid" or something.
Hope Izzy feels better soon.

I was going to say that was the coolest cart ever...but on second thought, I'll stick with the plain jane cart that can roll all the way to my car...

I hope izzy feels better today!

2 weeks... That's what I tell my kids when we start a new school. give it two weeks. it will be better in two weeks. Don't worry, in two weeks you'll have someone to sit with at lunch...
