**Jump!! For my LOVE!!

(**Name that artist.)

This is my jumprope and it is evil. I used to know how to jump rope. I really did. And I enjoyed it. It was fun. I think I even did some double-dutch in elementary school. But apparently it's not like riding a bike. The last few times as kickboxing aka "Boot Camp" aka "Kick Tori's Butt" we've done jumproping. Nevermind the fact that my legs are already wobbly masses of cottage cheese after doing lunges across the gym, I swear I couldn't jump over the rope if it was just lying on the ground!! I felt like falling over and kept waiting for my legs to give out. Having to jump this butt into the air takes a lot of work...

Ok, I guess I wasn't really *that* bad. I didn't skip the rope like jogging in place and I didn't bounce twice inbetween each time, but man... I think my record was like 14 jumps before I messed up. FOURTEEN. So not cool. But ya know what, it was a workout!! My heart was pumping. I was sweating. It felt good- when we were done. It'd be rad if I could jump like this girl. She even smiles the whole time. CRAZY!!

Goodness--I don't even know if I could jump rope anymore. (May have to try and see--but I do know I can jump, so I guess I should just be grateful for that ; )

(I used to love double dutch!!!

Argh! Klin beat me!

Now I'm going to sulk the rest of the day. Sulk while singing that song, because it's now in my head.

I once, ONCE made a double jump in smellementary PE, usually after the double jump though I was lucky if I could get a single in.

This post has inspired me...I think I'm going to get a jump rope. I'm not going to make any promises, but it's warm here so why not act like a kid every once and a little while?

Wow,that is awesome!

I'm well endowed so the jumping rope is a little difficult for me. My boobs throw me off balance. It's a bummer because jumping rope is great exercise.

I used to like jump rope in elementary. Then I bought one a while ago for exercise reasons, and MAN that stuff is hard. I feel so out of shape everytime I attempt to do it :(

That sounds like a great (and scary) class! My daughter's PE class has been jumproping. She came home upset this week because she "only" jumped 400 times - I guess she was suposed to be able to do around 800 in the allotted time, but she couldn't figure out how to jump without the bounce in between swings....

Hmpff! I don't think I've ever really "liked" jumping rope but it does give you a great workout. Way to go with your class!

I used to LOVE to jump rope. I've done it a few times here and there, and it totally a good workout. I may have to pull mine out again and get to work. Only problem is, I feel like I'm going to pee my pants each time I jump. And sometimes I think a teeny tiny bit comes out. Probably way more info than you wanted, but there you have it!

I tried jumping rope about a year ago. Sad. Very sad. How did we do it when we were little without even thinking about it?? Certainly couldn't hurt me to give it another shot now though... :o)
