Officer Gorgeous

Sei was a deputy and worked at the county jail for 6 years before he quit to open a youth residential treatment facility. He sold that and now we are here in Texas where he is about to graduate from the police academy. Before any of that he worked a the juvenile detention center. So, needless to say for the last 10 years Sei has worked in law enforcement, etc... He was on SWAT and has had extensive training in law enforcement procedure. Well, let me tell ya- it sucks watching any shows that have a crime scene or a SWAT stand off, with Seiuli. He critiques the cops or yells at the characters. For example... the other nite we were watching "Medium." Allison, the main character, saw thru a window that there was a man's body lying on the floor. She broke the window to go inside to help, I guess. Sei is like, "Don't go in! That's so dumb. She's gonna contaminate the crime scene." I was like, "Or the killer could still be inside..." "Oh yeah, that too." Later, at the end of the show it was a very emotional ending- I was almost crying- and Sei yells "Don't touch that gun!" Whaaa??? He was all like "She'll ruin evidence on the murder weapon..." Nevermind that he totally ruined the ending for me.
And this didn't just start since he's been in the academy. Any cop show or "Caught on Tape" show he's like, "You never walk into a room with your gun out like that." or "See- they're securing the perimeter..."
It was cute at 1st... but now... ugh. Help. And he's starting to chew his gum like a cop. I call it the "cop chew." All fast with his jaw moving all funny. I'm just waiting for him to grow the "cop stache." :(

Not really on the subject, but kind of: Sei said he needs to get verification from Utah that he has already been sprayed with OC spray. Otherwise he'll have to do it again. I was like, "Get verfication because the last time you were sprayed MY face stung for a day just from you kissing me." Then HE said, "I kinda *want* to get sprayed again. I like toughing it out..." (or something along those lines...) Weird.

And totally NOT on the subject: I watch NKOTB on the "Today" show. I cried when they were introduced. Not like bawling, but ... I'm a dork. I admit it. I cried when they came on the stage at their concert in 1990 too. I heart NKOTB.

Ok that would get on my nerves too. My IL's do that kind of thing all of the time. They give away endings, they have to describe why *that* would never happen. It makes me insane,it's a freaking tv show/movie so shut it!

I forgot about the Today show. Doh!

Sooooo, I guess my psycho babble and quick diagnosis of characters would get annoying, too?

Ok, I'm back.
They actually look mature and stuff :)

And what is up with the yellow shoes? Why was she wearing those??

You cry at NKOTB and your husband is crazy because he is enthusiastic about his work? Hmm.

I know I like comparing prisons on tv to mine. And Terry and I mock people crying on the Biggest Loser or Hell's Kitchen. She only cries at tv where babies get hurt.

LOL!

not LOL at babies getting hurt. LOL at the other tv stuff.

He talks to the TV when you guys are watching shows like that?! Ha ha I would totally make my husband go in the other room if he did that. You're much nicer than me :)
Next time just kiss him, it may stun him so that he'll be quiet for a few minutes :)

That's like watching military movies with my dh. Can we just enjoy the movie without all the commentary?

I have been watching Medium via DVD for the past couple months. LOVE IT!!! It's so much more realistic than Ghost WHisperer. The best part is that they eat Kroger brand cereal. That makes me feel closer to the characters to know that we are sharing the same breakfast experiences. :)

Papi hates Patricia Arquette. Especially her teeth and when she gets her whiny voice going but yet he now calls Medium "his" show. Whatever.

I got the hots for Detective Scanlon. Hawt!

Sooooo, if I watch a show featuring newspaper carriers, I'd probably get all riled up about authenticity, too!

You know I'm on a message board dedicated to bad baby names, right? One of the ladies there is so excited for the NKOTB reunion tour that she's having a maternity shirt made for her for the concert and a NKOTB onesie for her baby. She found a lady that does vintage baby stuff on ebay.

C-R-A-Z-Y!

I liked Jon the best. He seemed so sweet and shy and like I could dominate him. I like that.
