I ♥ my heroes

Lauren did a super cute post the other day. It was about her heroes. Now this isn't going to be a gushy post where I write all about Seiuli and how he saved me. This is a fun post about my fictional heroes or things in my life that save me everyday! :) Thanks for the idea Lauren!! So, here they are in no particular order...

1. Jacob BlackNow, I know there are the Jacob-haters out there and the Edward-lovers. Let me explain why Jacob is awesome. I have liked him since the 1st time I read New Moon. I don't love him for Bella. I love him for me. Bella can have Edward because I don't want her whiney butt with Jacob. He deserves better. I like Jacob because he's carefree and fun and a little on the wild side. I'm in the middle of Eclipse again. Ok, when he comes to the school to "rescue" Bella because Edward is making Alice "hold her hostage"- how can you not find that hot??? He's awesome. And I realize the pics above are not the "SharkBoy" kid they got to play Jacob, but the Jacob in my head does NOT look like "SharkBoy." When I started re-reading the series I was opened minded and even found myself thinking Edward was pretty cool, but once I read New Moon again... It was all Jacob baby!

2. Optimus Prime
Optimus Prime is the leader of the Autobots. The fact that he was so willing to have the All-Spark cube shoved into his chest to save the world is awesome. "Taking the children was a baaaad move." He's awesome. Plus he's the only one that gets to say, "Autobots, ROLL OUT."

3. The inventor of Popsicles
Although some days I want to scream because my carpet has, yet a new stain from a popsicle, popsicles have saved my sanity more times than I can count. When Livie is throwing one of her fits I can just say "Wanna eat a popsicle??" She forgets what she's screaming about and starts running around to ask Taj if he wants one too. Yes, popsicles and bribery rock.

4. Indiana JonesHello. He's the epitome of cool.

5. Napoleon DynamiteQuotes from him have helped make this summer more bearable and have brought many-a-smiles to my face. He also made my labor with Liv so easy-going. How can you stress when you're listening to things like "A freakin' 12 gauge. Whatdaya think?"

6. My husband.I know I said this wouldn't be a mushy-gushy post, but how can I talk about heroes without mentioning him?? He ♥ me all the time- even when I am hormonal or psycho or tired or fat or grumpy and even when I'm totally skinny and sweet. :) He can make me laugh until I cry. He is so honest and truly cares about others and their happiness. He's the best dad evah and I can not imagine my life without him. Thanks babe. T ♥ S.

I LOVE Indy. I know we've talked about this before... but he's my hero too. Remember? we almost named Jaxon Indy!! Now I'm glad we didn't because I hear a lot of girls named that... and I'm not for unisex names. :)
Anyway, Sei is a hero to ALL of us because he's hot...errrrr, I mean because he protects us and stuff. :)

Mindi- Just a friendly reminder that Jacob is mine.

Aubrey- Same thing goes for you too.

Randi- And you...

Chel- If he just had an aussie accent... ;)

Where's DJ Lance Rock on this list?

After watching him get tased, Sei's my hero, too.

I've still never seen Napoleon Dynamite.

Omar- How could I forget DJ Lance Rock?? What was I thinking? He saves my sanity almost as often as popsicles. How have you NOT seen ND?? Especially after reading all the rad quotes in my sidebar??

Too fun. I loved the Optimus Prime ; )

I have to agree 100% on Indy.

Re: Popsicles--if they just hadn't made the red ones ; )

And, I would have been sooooooo disappointed if you hadn't included your hubby!!!

You are so cute! YAY for Sei.

"I don't love him for Bella. I love him for me." I am not a Jacob hater at all, he's a cutey. Besides, the Twin World is in balance this way.

Omar, you HAVE to watch ND. It is a must.

Yay! I am glad you did this!!

Me no Jacob hater...I am just an Edward purist haha. Jacob is fun :) I picture Jacob as Steven Strait all the time. He is much hotter that way. Me attracted to Shark Boy=molester Lauren. No thanks.

Optimus Prime!

Napoleon!

Woo woo, look at Indy! And there is no way that I could have been in labor with Napoleon in the room. He MUST be your hero then! :)

ND is my hero because my kids can watch him and I don't have to worry about them learning anything bad.

I don't hate Jacob. I'm married to him so I have to love Edward to balance it out. I, too, don't think Jacob should end up with Bella. She'd always be thinking about Edward and that wouldn't be fair to Jacob. Oh, yeah, and Jacob is yours:)

Sei is a hero in a lot of ways. He does care about others. It's not easy working with teens and it's harder to run a program with them. Mostly because they don't want to be in a program. I love that you two look like soul mates when seen together.

Fun post.

Tori you crack me up. When I was prego with RED I wanted popsicles SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BAD. My girlfriend had to bring me some every other day:)))
Sei is my hero too. In a WAY different way than you, but he is tough. That is hawt!

Cute post!!!

Indy used to be my hero up until I saw his latest movie! Lame!!! I still like him though!

I do have to say that after rereading the Twilight series I am liking Jacob more and more. Edward is still my favorite though. I can't stand the suspense waiting for the next book.....let alone the movie! Ahhhhhh.......

Being on Team Black I agree that Jacob deserves better than whinny Bella. I'm dying to read the next book.

Hey, I actually came across your blog from a friend's of a friend's blog! Random, I know. I just wanted to say that I love it and your fam is beautiful. I hope you don't mind my asking, but your husband looks (and name sounds) poly- is he? My husband is Fijian and it's always fun to find friends who can feel my pain... i mean joy... anyway- later and love your blog!

Tori :) said...

Brittany-
You guessed it! Seiuli is 1/2 Samoan. His mom is Samoan. It's funny because out of all his siblings he's the only one with the poly name! :)

SUCH an adorable post. I'm still partial to Edward though.

You're too cute, Tori. Your optimism and silliness is contagious!
