Families can be together forever

Today is 11 years since my little sister, Nicole died. The kids, Sei and I made flowers with messages on the petals to put on her grave. Tristan, Alec and Izzy used to make paper flowers before we moved to Utah. This is the 1st time in 7 years for us to be able to visit her grave on Aug. 4. It was a fun family activity (if visiting a cemetery can be considered "fun"??) and it made me thankful for the knowledge that families can be together forever. I love my family. You can read more about Nicole here and here. :)

Concentrate to the things that could give information to the people.

It's always so odd to me how time seems to have hardly passed when remembering a deceased loved one. My stepdad died 6 years ago and I swear it doesn't feel like that at all. It's like he was just here yesterday.

I just realized that at least a couple of your kids got to meet Nicole before she passed so at least you have some memorable pictures. :)

I'm glad you are there in Texas and able to visit her grave. Love the messages on the petals.

It is wonderful to know families can be together forever.

I need to go visit my brother's grave. Thank you for the reminder. :)

It's great that ya'll are so close now, and can do that as a family. (I think visits to the cemetery can certainly be fun.) Those visits are so important.

I'm glad that you were able to experience the day in Texas this time. What a comfort to have all your children there! Gone, but never forgotten. ***hugs, Tori***

What would we do without the knowledge that families can be together forever? How grateful I am for that.

You have one great looking family!

it's also nice for your kids to know that families can be together forever, it helps them with understanding grief as well.

Hope today was not too hard on you.
