Why I hate my husband's nite shift

Ok, so it's no secret that I don't prefer the nite shift for my husband, but that's what he's on nonetheless. I'm pretty used to it now so it's not as big of deal as it used to be, but then things like GINORMOUS spiders happen and I miss him even more.
There was a spider in our house that was easily 3 inches in diameter with it's legs outstretched. Now, I can kill baby spiders and even medium-size spiders, but when they seem gigantic, with strong legs and run fast... I hate it. Even my resident spider-killer, Alec, wouldn't kill it. I bravely got the spider spray and sprayed the spider. It, of course, took off running which made me scream and jump and run. It's run eventually got slower and it slooooooowly climbed up the 1st step. It attempted the 2nd step, but fell. So it pulled it's body across the step and started coming down. That's where this video picks up (:32):

Yes, I am a complete dork. When the spider finally curled up and died no one wanted to pick up the corpse. So... I got the broom. After testing to make sure it was dead, Isabel volunteered to sweep it outside and into the yard. Eew. I miss my husband.

Wow, this is a spider week! My friends are all posting dead ones on their blogs. Also I talked with a friend who just got back from Sydney (because I used to live there also) and we were talking about the various gross spiders and how we killed them. Huntsman spiders...man, they're nasty. Also, I totally jumped with you on that video! SICK!

I had a mission companion who squealed louder at spiders. You should have seen that Elder squeal and run when there was a tarantula in our apartment. LOL!

My sister is mortally afraid of spiders. Once she was home alone and a big spider was on the wall. Trying to kill it she got out some formula 409 and sprayed it. Well, the spider fell off the wall and started running towards her, so she ran backwards, screaming and spraying the 409 at the advancing spider. It eventually died, but the 409 took the color out of their carpet so she had these white streaks in a line down the hallway to remind her of it for years to come.

That's too funny! I love the "You're retarded" in the napoleon voice. Just yesterday I had to kill a big nasty cricket in the girls room. I ended up smashing it with the hamper. Big bugs usually appear when the men are not around to kill them. Why is that?

Ewww! I am so sorry! All I have to say is...at least it wasn't a cockroach.

Ted knows his job duties when we marry. Official roach killer.

I freak out when they run AT me! I loved your video and you have brave kiddos. I just call AJ. Even if he did hate spiders he wouldn't let on. I take advantage of that.

I'd hate my husband being gone with gross things stalking me, too.

That last picture did it for me.

Thanks to Father Al you were able to show us the horibleness of the spider, both on picture and video.
I love you technology, but not as much as my twin.

PS: I am glad you ARE ALL SAFE!

Ok ~ picture that same spider, but when stepped on, a bizillion baby spiders running out from it. I kid you not.... just a couple of months ago that happened in our kitchen. So picture Micah & Crystal (9+months preggers) running around tring to stomp all these baby spiders & me on the couch screaming "GET THEM!!!" Yeah, I don't do spiders!

I absolutely hate spiders! But you'll never believe it...I gathered some spider eggs this spring and let them hatch under the microscope...I have the movies and photos of their developement on my blog. It's under the label "Spider Developement" if I remember right.
Anyway, we had them for 21 days and then they started escaping from the scotch tape so I took them outside.

Um, ewwwwwww!!! I would be freaking out too. I can handle little spiders, but not big ones. I remember visiting our cousins in TX when I was little and the huge tarantulas that they would squash like it was no big deal. Yuck!
