Just wonderin'

Has anyone else ever started crying when they went to empty a clothes hamper because they just freakin' emptied it yesterday and they are so sick of doing laundry? Just wonderin'...

I do cry because no one has any clean clothes. Because I am too busy to even begin to wash clothes. I have blogs to read, auctions to attend to, weddings to cover, political discussions, naps to take, crisis management etc.

I've cried before when I've seen how much laundry I had to FOLD. The washing part is easy - it's the folding and putting away.BLEH! I say put your kids to work!!

In the summer it was easier to "put them to work." Now they are at school all day with middle school homework, football practice, scouts, etc... So they are in charge of putting their laundry away CORRECTLY. (Not just piled on their bed although as long as it's not piled in the laundry room I'm good...:P) and they bring me the hamper and stuff. That's the extent of their laundry chores. They have other chores, but nothing else with the laundry.

I think I'm just burnt out and have too many kids... It's never ending. Ever.

I laugh in the face of laundry.

I think that you have to put a positive spin on these things, so I am trying to see if I can get a world record for the largest laundry pile ever without running out of clean clothes.
No, I'm not only doing the minimum to get by, I am reaching for a DREAM.

There are times I wish I could just take the laundry to the laundromat and do it ALL AT ONCE!!!

(Sorry about the previous comment--sometimes I use a different account ; )

hahahahahahahahahahaha! i am not laughing to be mean. i am laughing because not TWO days ago i was *this* close to taking that exact same picture of my overflowing laundry basket, but i thought of YOU and how you would be like, "whatever! you only have FOUR people in your house." so, i refrained and did my 8 loads of laundry without blogging about it. ha ha!

I stole the pic off of yahoo, but I should take one of my laundry room. My dryer is covered in socks and there's 2 baskets of clean clothes, a big basket of dirty and a pile of clothes waiting for the dryer...

-Collect clothes
-DO laundry
-DO a Snoopy victory dance when I see the bottom of the hamper
Joy, happiness, relaxation...
-Next day: Collect clothes
-Etc. etc.

But see, there's only 4 of us here, so I shouldn't complain

I laugh in the face of "put the kids to work." My mother always says that and I always think, Oh, like you always put us to work? NOT???

Good luck. I'm hip-deep in it myself.

My typical washing laundry day is about 5 loads of laundry. Typical folding day is when the bed is too covered and there's no room on the floor to put the clean clothes... or... about every other day.
Right there with ya!

I'm tired of laundry and I only have 2 kids. I can't imagine how much you have to do... Get this, before I had kids, laundry was one of my favorite chores. That's because I only did 4 loads a week! Can you imagine? :)

Wow, i am impressed. You are only sick of doing laundry?? I am sick of doing sihes, laundry, making dinner, picking up socks and wet towels off the floor, sweeping the floor 10 times a day from toddlers throwing thier food everywhere. Makes me depresssed just thinking of it. Then i remember oh..this is what i am here on earth for..opps forgot. :)

We've been away for the last couple of days and I am so dreading the laundry when I get home. I can relate oh so well.

I think dirty laundry multiplies like rabbits. AT least around here. I'm guessing around your place, too.

Sorry to hear that.

I feel your pain!! I can't even get it folded and put away. I get it clean, then I go upstairs and I collect TONS!!! It is depressing!

I was going to do this great posting on the "evolution of laundry" but I can never get it to EVOLVE!!

I'll serve cake if it ever happens!!
