The rest of my story

... So I got up, took a shower, put on pjs and got my 2nd wind. Then I spent 2 1/2 hours messing around on the computer for no reason. That's why I didn't get to bed until after 2 am.

THERE! I finished my story. You're probably wondering "What the heck is she talkin' about??" This is the end of a story I tried to tell yesterday and never finished because no one cared to listen. :( I was trying to tell why I was tired. I started out talking about how we got home late from the Halloween party in Oklahoma. Livie was bouncing off the walls so I laid down with her in my bed and consequently fell asleep as well. But I'm weird and I absolutely CANNOT sleep if I haven't brushed my teeth or washed my face. So, I woke up around midnite and even though I totally wanted to sleep I got up instead to wash my face and brush my teeth. That's where the end of my story I already told comes in.
I know it's not that interesting of a story, but is it too much to ask that the 3 people I was telling it to at least feign interest for the 2 minutes it took to tell it instead of starting new conversations or walking away? And when I say "Ok, thanks y'all. You just totally started talking in the middle of my sentence. Y'all didn't even notice I stopped talking!" instead of being apologetic or asking me to finish my story, y'all just looked at me like I spoke in martian and started talking amongst yourselves again. Thanks y'all. It sucks that I don't have any cool stories to tell, but sucks even more to be totally interrupted and ignored.
Gee- I wonder why I blog??? My readers pretend to be interested better than SOME people. Sheesh.

That's because your readers can read when it's convenient to read.

Yeah- I guess sitting at the kitchen table eating the food I prepared for them must have been pretty inconvenient... My bad.

I'm confused. Did you have a party at your house and I wasn't invited? Because I totally would have listened, while eating the yummy food you made. Then I would have waited until you were done telling your story to tell you what an awesome cook you were.

Amanda- you are invited to our family dinner anytime. :)

I would gobble up the food, stand on my chair and salute what a wonderful mom and cook you were. Oh wait that is a commerical!

Actually to be serious, this exact same thing has been happening to me with several different people. It is like I am not even talking or im intruding into their world so I am invisible. It is truly annoying and the next person is going to get kicked mark my word.

And whist have a discussion with my ALWAYS ALWAYS late husband that he should be home in 20 minutes from his job he states, well it takes 22 minutes. What the hell, where is my shoe!

One more because I am already registered and all I have to do is click enter, very nice and painless. But I really do not have anything to say. Are you listening to me???

i absolutely cannot, under any circumstances go to bed without washing my face and brushing my teeth.

Okay, maybe there are a few circumstances where it's allowed, but generally, No way, no how.

I lay there in bed thinking about how my face isn't washed and my teeth aren't clean... way too distracting to go to sleep.

And there is my entire comment about nothing but hygiene.

That stinks. I'd be ruffled too.

Sorry. I was just so tired myself that holding my eyelids open was all I could think about.

I remember that you like to wash your face and brush your teeth before bed. I did have enough attention to catch that ;)

I am always interested ; ) But, I know the feeling--that happens to me all the time, and that's exactly why I blog.

Well, even though you were dead tired you still had the presence of mind to get up to wash your face and brush your teeth.

BRAVO.

We should never ever abandon protocol. Beauty rest starts with a clean slate!

YAY!!

What the anonymous????

Obviously not a follower of this blog.

Anyway - - My MOM does that to me all the time when we talk on the phone. She just randomly starts a new topic. ummm, ok.

I'm pretty sure "Anonymous" IS Sei, because I never said I was talking about Sei in this entire post...

That's the ending of my stories at least 50% of the time. So I could roll with it.

Plus half the fun is making up the stories that could have started the ending.

True story. No lie. I have felt similarly as of late. People ask for the story but don't care enough for me to finish...maybe I suck at telling stories?

when I'm dead tired, I have no trouble AT ALL with falling asleep minus the teeth brushing.

No wonder I have a cavity.

yes, you and me are twins in that aspect. that we can't go to sleep unless we've washed our faces and brushed our teeth. it is crazy, but true.
