Hypocrisy at it's best

One of the things I love about blogging is I can express my opinions, y'all can express yours and we don't have to all agree because, well, we live in America. But this new commercial is just disgusting and a blatant attack on The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Um, ok, so we can only express our opinions and beliefs as long as they agree with yours? Who's the "bigot" now?

(**And for the record the LDS church does not "hate" gay people and neither do I. We, and I, do believe that marriage is between a man and woman only.)

This is disgusting. If it was any other church, everyone would be up in arms about the religious prejudice.

My problem with re-defining marriage (besides my personal beliefs in the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman as part of God's plan) is that if they legalize this "alternative" lifestyle, then it sets the precedent for any other alternative lifestyle to be legalized. Polygamy anyone? How about incestual marriages? How about child marriages? How about human/animal marriages? Group marriages? Once you start down a slippery slope, there is little that can stop it.

I am speechless. I don't even know what to say. This makes me sad and disgusted. I can hardly wait until tomorrow when hopefully this will all be behind us and we can start over.

I was horrified when I saw this. It is so not the truth about what we believe.

Jesus said love everyone. I do.

Except Tori's ex. :P But I don't hate him either.

J showed this to me last night and afterwards said, "Just in case there was any question about whether or not there will be retribution if and when the Left is in control---here you go." I can't even believe how insanely slanted this commercial is.
Mormons are single handedly oppressing the entire gay community. Yeah. That's intelligent.

We absolutely don't have intelligent debates in this country anymore. Anyone that commercial "works on" is a sorry human being.

When reason fails, use extremism, right?

I am not LDS. I was born Catholic, but strayed in recent years. The LDS, this so-called "oppressor", is responsible for bringing me back to God's fold. I'm tired of the attacks against this Church.

I'm sorry, when did Mormons start taking over the government? I guess I didn't see that CNN headline.

Heaven forbid we support something we believe in.

I can hardly believe that piece of trash is for real...but at least the comments were rather entertaining.

That commercial is just hateful.

Oh and last time I checked, there are other churches for Prop 8,not just us "horrible" mormons.

Well...the proposition passed, in spite of garbage like that commercial! :D

I'm so grateful that the three propositions passed.

That is such a horrible commercial.

nobo I think someone deserves a letter...;) OK so maybe not realloy because that might be sinking to their level, which is not important. Wait what was that story in the BoM where the military leader went down to meet the enemy and left the strong hold?

Yeah definitely not a good idea.
