MISSING!!!

Please take a good look at these pics. See the cute blue bear and the ugly homemade doll?? The bear is my homemade Grumpy Carebear and the ugly doll is Sally. Sally Kay (Kay for my mom & Sally because aren't all dolls named Sally?) I received these dolls from Santa on Christmas Day 1983. I was 7. I loved these dolls. My sister even made me fake birth certificates with her rad calligraphy pen set. I named Grumpy "Timothy Roger"- idk why. Anyway... I loved these dolls. Even when I had "real" Carebears and Cabbage Patch kids, I still loved Grumpy and Sally best. Well... my mom thought they were boxed in the attic. Apparently, they are not. I think she accidently donated them to Goodwill because we have all the other old dolls. If you shop at Goodwill keep an eye out for them. There is a reward. I will have my sister make you a cool certificate prize with her calligraphy kit... Me, my little sister Nicole, Tara, my grandma (It appears they had matching eyewear...) and Ashton Kutcher, er, I mean, my dad
Swampbaby, me, Nicole

Swampbaby with her cool glasses that had her initials on them, me and Nicole. I don't know what my dad is doing. Warming his feet maybe???

Those are fun pictures. I have no idea where mine are, but seeing yours makes me want to look for them.

I had no idea Ashton Kutcher has been around so long :P

Ah yes, the old "accidental" donation.

My guess? Sally's in a landfill somewhere, and Tim Roger got caught up in the wrong crowd and is being used by a drug trafficking ring, where they're filling him up with bags of coke and having some kid carry him through customs.

Or they're each in new homes being loved by a new generation of kids, I guess that's a possibility too. But it's probably the first thing.

Amen on Sally. It was my brother Ernie's favorite name for everything when he was little. He named one of our chickens Sally.

Oh Tori, that's too bad! Hopefully they come up eventually! I think handmade items can be some of the most beloved childhood treasures.

My sister had the exact same glasses as swampbaby. Weren't the 80's so stylin'? :)

My sister and I totally had homemade Cabbage Patch dolls! Mine was blonde, and Kik's was brunette. Sigh. Those were good times. I hope you find your dolls!

Too funny! Those pics bring back memories. I used to love when y'all would pack up and drive to Many for Christmas! I've made several "secret" donations to goodwill with some of Cady's old dolls/stuffed animals. I hope she doesn't realize it anytime soon... I recently brought my cabbage patch doll home from my Dad's and also my glow-worm. Remember glow-worms? awesome...

I commented but it didn't save! I hate it when that happens, because I am so much more clever the first time. That was a few days ago, I am still upset:)

Good times...there are definitely some things I have given away, and when I look back wished that I hadn't :( I think about them way too often

This post is cute and happy. Even if the dolls are AWOL.

Don't listen to Omar. I bet they are in a magical place with sprakly bacon and rainbowy unicorns.
