5 top songs

First off- go congratulate my sister. She just found out she's having a baby GIRL!! She has 3 boys so this is HUGE news!!

------------------------------------
Also, I've lost 10 pounds on Atkins and without the use of weight loss supplements. YAY!! 12 more to go...
------------------------------------
So, in my last post I asked for some post ideas or questions I could answer. I'll answer a few today for y'all. I know you've been waiting at the edge of your seats for these answers...

Suzanne asked:
What are your 5 favorite current songs playing on the radio?

This is hard for me to answer because I'm not even sure I know "current" songs on the radio. I'll tell you the last 5 I uploaded to my iPod. You can click on the name and it'll take you to the video on Youtube if you aren't familiar with the song...

"Gives You Hell" by The All American Rejects. I really like that song a lot. It's like a big middle finger to people who treated you like crap. Nice.

"Declaration" by David Cook. He has a sexy voice.

"I Miss You" by Incubus. This is an older song, but my sister just introduced it to me. I like it.

"Foolish Games" by Jewel- again, totally NOT a current song. I like the piano.

"Unbelievable" by EMF. I think that came out like my Sophmore year... And it bugs me because whoever uploaded the song to the program I use totally spelt "you're" wrong. They typed "Your Unbelievable." I didn't notice it until I looked at my iPod the other day and I haven't had a chance to go correct it. To quote Ross from 'Friends': "Y-o-u-apostrophe-r-e means YOU ARE. Y-o-u-r means YOUR."
Just a little history behind that last song. I remember watching the video and thinking the lead singer was absolutely GORGEOUS because of how he leaned on the microphone. Apparently my standards weren't very high for gorgeousness back then...
So there ya have it. What songs have y'all uploaded recently? I'm always looking for songs to add to my iPod.

Unbelievable takes me waaaaaaaay back! Thanks for the trip down memory lane. :)

All I have on my ipod right now is the Twilight soundtrack and a Jack Johnson CD, oh and a couple of conference talks. Yes, I am a nerd. ;)

Congratulations to your sister--that is wonderful.

Congratulations to you--10 pounds is FANTASTIC.

The only one i'm familiar with is "Unbelievable". Oh well, guess I'm just not hip. I don't upload songs very often.

I love me some David Cook... he's all over my ipod, and is awesome... as well as quite a few of Daughtry's songs, if you wanta stick with the theme of American Idol.. I listen to Daughtry when I run... the song Feels like Tonight is awesome.

My most recent itunes purchase is of a piano player named william joseph. he plays a rendition of led zeppelin's kashmir that's awesome. I blogged about him. I'm all about him this week... cause he's awesome.

I think I need to say awesome one more time.

awesome.

Lauren- I really like it too. Even when I'm working out if it comes on I keep it on even though it's slower.

Karina- I like that song although the "shoo bee doo bee" part bugs me. Is that the right song?

Amanda- I ♥ Jack Johnson. Sei was a big fan of his before he was big. I need to add more of him to my iPod.

Yvonne- It was 10 pounds last nite and 8 pounds this morning. Whatever.

MommyJ- I love me some Daughtry. I have him all over my iPod too!

Did you charge your sister money for that link?

I've heard of the last two of those songs, but not the first three.

Woo hoo! Congrats on the weight loss, Tori! That's quite an accomplishment!

I'm glad you did your 5 songs! I loved Unbelievable in 8th grade! It was my favorite song! And I was in 8th when you were a Sophomore! :)

I like the old Jewel too. She does Country now, right?

I totally just downloaded the new Rejects song last week... LOOOOVE IT! I sing along to it at the top of my lungs and feel goooood afterwards! lol! And Jack Johnson is great. I big time dig Jason Mraz. I was telling my class this a couple weeks ago so one of my students brought me a bunch of Jack Johnson cause he's got the same vibe. Good stuff! And I'm happy T is having a girl!!! woo hoo!

"...GORGEOUS because of how he leaned on the microphone" :D
Once I "fell in love" with some guy because of the way he played with his hair.
Yeah, pretty intiljent!

Kickin' it old school with EMF. Incubus is good all around. They are one of my favorite modern bands (modern meaning late 90s to now). Each CD has a distinct sound. The album "Morning View" has a lot of work similar to "I Miss You".
