And.... I'm back.

Yeah, so I kinda took a little unoffical hiatus from blogging. Sorry I didn't let you know, but thanks to those you who emailed and text me checking to see if I was still alive. :) I've just kinda been busy and burnt out and not feeling very creative, so I apologize in advance for a lame post. :) I'm not gonna give a huge Christmas recap because I am lazy. It was a great Christmas, but I'm positive you don't wanna see pics of everything everyone got, etc... I am also about 156 posts behind in reading and I'm pretty sure I'm not gonna read all of them. So... I apologize. I am clearing my reader lists and starting new so I don't feel guilty... I think it's only fair. I mean, I've given y'all one less blog to read for over a week. Right? I provided a community service. :)

It's 2009 now. Holy cow. For New Years we had a Casino nite with Tristan's new poker set and a bunch of underage gamblers. We had a blast! For some reason I didn't get any pics of the decor, but it was happenin' let me tell ya.Did anyone else just gag at the site of those jerseys??
My hubby wearing my sunglasses and brother

Please note all the winnings are in front of the person wearing the DIRK jersey and not Kobe. Boo ya!

Then we went outside at midnite to shoot silly string. Even Livie woke up for the party!!
For the New Year I have made these 2 resolutions:

1) Lose weight/get in shape. I have NEVER weighed this much in my life other than when I was 7 months pregnant. This move has been kind of tough on me and while Sei is loving his job and losing weight, I've gained his lost weight and then some. So... I have been going to the gym faithfully since mid-November. It's not easy because I have to work around Sei's new work schedule along with all the kiddos sports, etc... but I am going at least 5 days a week working out for at least an hour. I am now working on my eating as well. I wish I didn't love junk food so much. I was going to do Atkins, but I decided I really need to learn to discipline myself and just eat better, control portions, etc...

2) Make my prayers more specific. For example, instead of just saying "Bless my family" I am naming specific things each member of my family needs. I feel it makes my prayers more meaningful and I have to think about what I am saying more. I know this will help my relationship with my Heavenly Father grow.

And that's it, because I'm pretty sure those 2 will be tough enough. It's really hard to be motivated to go work out at 7:30 at nite after watching not only my kids, but 3 other children, taxi-ing kids to and from bball practice, cooking dinner, etc... But I am going to do it. I enjoy that time- once I get there.

My next post: "The New and Old in my life..." (look at me all plannin' ahead...)

I forgot to mention, I won't be doing many blog ads anymore. I may have random links leading to a promotional product or something, but I should very rarely write a complete blog ad. Thanks for being patient with all the ads in the past!

FIRST!!! Woo-Hoo!
Glad to see ya back. Don't beat yourself up too bad. Have you seen the last time I actually posted? Yeah, you have nothing to worry about. :)
Those are great resolutions. Maybe I can be inspired by you.
Happy New Year & Welcome back!!

I am so glad you are back! I am glad you got a break though. I was talking about doing one...but then decided against it.

I love that you had a poker night. How awesome!

Great new goals for the year. I too, put "get healthier" on my list. I love chocolate...and it is evil. Therefore I am cursed.

Wait, who are you again?

Oh, I am so glad you are back. I've missed your posts.

I thought of you when we were in Utah sledding and looked over to see who else sledding with his family--KOBE!!!! His security guy was very protective and didn't want anyone to get pictures. (Brent did get a little video clip ; )

Great job on the resolutions--I haven't gotten that far.

Uh, yeah I was grossed out by the Kobe attire.

No resolutions here. We have been working eating healthier for a while and are making progress. This roughly translates into my reducing meat and crap from our diet and doing it gradually so he doesn't notice. Can't post that on my blog. He'd find out :P

Silly string at midnight--what a fun idea! I may have to steal that from you, hope ya don't mind.
The resolutions sound great. I need to get thinking about some...

I've been on hiatus a bit too so I didn't even realize you were gone! :D

Your New Year's Eve party looked like so much fun and those sound like great resolutions! My resolution? To not have any. Is that pitiful? Yes. Do I ever keep my resolutions? No. There is just less guilt that way. :)
