Birthdays and what not

*Today is my lil sister's birthday. Alexandra- we call her "Ali"- is 15 today!! She is not quite a year older than Tristan. CRAZY. I remember the day she was born. You'd think the forceps would have been sufficient birth control for me. Apparently not. I remember smelling her crib when my parents were out of town (with her and my bro). I missed her!! I don't sniff her sheets now though... HAPPY BIRTHDAY Lali (as Liv calls her.) Love you!
* I am stoked for this coming weekend. I have Friday and Monday off and I have some friends coming into town. It's gonna be awesome to just hang out and PAR-TAY!!

* I'm starting bootcamp again on May 11. That's my birthday, so I'm giving myself a good butt kicking and a hot body... haha
* I ran in the 5k on Saturday and here's the deal- running sucks. It sucks. I work out several times a week (other than the last 2 weeks, but that was a fluke) and my body never feels like it does after running. My hips hurt, my knee hurts, my shoulders and back hurts. I've decided that unless someone is chasing you that there is no real need to run. I did place 4th in my age group. I only know that because as we passed the finish line they handed us a paper with our overall place and we had to write our name, time and then put it in our age group envelope. Mine was the 4th in the envelope. I finished 47th overall out of about 100. My mom placed 1st in her age group and beat me by 3:30 minutes. Shut up. She's an over-acheiver. And apparently I'm not.

* We planted seeds the other nite as part of family nite. I wasn't really expecting them to grow or anything, but so far we have the start of a few squash, tomato, watermelon and pea plants. We will be making our actual garden here in the near future. We have no idea what we're doing, so we'll see how it goes. lol

If you are looking for a super quick way to make your kitchen or bathroom look new and "made over" check out the beautiful vessel sinks at!! They are absolutely beautiful!!!

Aw look at you, being a gardener! How awesome. I wish I had my own home so I could make a garden. My sister grows tomatoes. She is really good at it.

Happy Birthday wishes..
ooh and I wish I could come and party... sad day.

Happy Birthday to your sister.

Good job on the seeds. I need to plant something--even if I just put it on my deck. (We have deer and they will eat anything in the yard, but I think the deck is safe.

Enjoy your visit with friends. Are you up for a visit near the end of May--I'll be in your neck of the woods. It will be the holiday weekend so send me an e-mail.

I couldn't agree more about running. And yet every once in a while, I feel like I should be doing it. I do it for a while, then I remember how much it sucks, and I stop. I don't get why that cycle keeps happening.

Ha, you lost to your mom.

Have so much fun this weekend! I want to hear all the news! :) That's cool you're planting a garden. Hopefully ours does better this year. And I think it's great that you placed 4th in your age group. I would be 104th! ;)

Happy Birthday to your sister! (who is young enough to be my daughter)

I cannot run. It just makes me ache all over & feel reeeeeally old. Oh, & I breathe like a spazzy asthmatic when I (try to) run. I'll stick with the elliptical. Less wear & tear on the joints. And if I was being chased, I hope the adrenaline would kick in.

Have a BLAST this weekend with friends!

I hate running. HATE.

But you're more of an over achiever than I am because you actually got off the couch to run.

I'm still stuck on mine with the remote in my hand.

Yayyy! You're growing some food! And look how well they are doing-- my seeds aren't even growing that fast. I'd say you have some green thumbs in that family of yours!

Party and friends!!!!!! Woot! Woot!

Running was my favorite thing, but I always hurt. Running was not good for me, but we didn't know I had the RA crap.

I'm impressed by you and your mom.

Happy b-day to your lil sis.

What do you mean you don't know what you are doing? You can't live in Utah and not know how to plant a garden. That's wrong ;)

Lauren comes over every day after work to kick some booty with me. BUT I DON'T LIKE IT! I also run so that my hub and son will get their boo-tays off the couch and get some exercise with me. BUT I DON'T LIKE IT!

It would be so much more fun just sitting around eating snacks! Seriously.
