Tori's Time Machine

"You made a time machine... out of a Delorean??"

Have you ever wished to be back in the day when the zits on your face were caused by being a hormonal teenager rather than by stress?

Or when eating a gallon of ice cream could make all your problems disappear rather than just make your pants not fit?

And when a cheating partner meant you dump him and spread rumors rather than spend the rest of your life sharing kids and hiring lawyers?

Have you ever wished to be back in the day when you played sports so working out was fun, rather than... work?

Back when if your jeans didn't fit anymore it meant you grew up and not out?
Have you ever wished to be back in the day when you could ask your dad for $20 & think nothing of it, rather than paying him $50 a month for 12 years to pay off the $7000 you borrowed?

Or when you could eat 4 party burritos, 1/2 a pizza and drink REAL Coke, not diet, and not think a thing about it rather than smelling a pizza and gaining 3 pounds?
Ugh. I'm having one of those weeks. Where's my Delorean? Or maybe one of these:

We had it so relatively easy back then. The only major stress I had was studying for tests.

Ugh, all these adult responsibilities!

Sorry you are having one of those weeks. :(
I wish I appreciated my size 2 body when I had it too.

I love me some Napolean Dynamite!!!

Oh I feel you on this one.

Hang in there.

Ditto to the above comments. Having a birthday always reminds me of how much older I'm getting, what I haven't done (lately or in general), & of how it used to be. Pass the prozac...or energy pills. One of the two would help right about now.

I'm sorry. :( Wish things were different for you.

"This thing is a piece of crap, it doesn't work!"

Uh, yeah, I think about that stuff A LOT! ;) I watched the 20-year-olds from my class of 12 polish off about 10 pizzas the other day... I just sat there fantasizing (about the pizzas, not the students - although there was a super hot guy in there...) as I ate my handful of walnuts, 2 oz of blackberries and 5 reduced fat crackers... SUK.

The dumb thing is that kids CAN'T WAIT to grow up! Growing up is highly overrated! ;)

It does kind of stink being old doesn't it.

Hang in there, my friend, it will get better.

My childhood wasn't all that great, but I'd love to go play in the back yard with my brother and all his people and the boats and camping stuff and the irrigation water and yeah. . . . .

Cornelius Robinson makes a couple great time machines, too.

Yes, some days I do wish I could go back!

Wow, you nailed it on this one!

Up and not out cracked me up.

I wish I could spread a few nasty rumors. I think that would really help the situation. Who would listen though? Who would care? Let's go find some teenagers...

All you really need is someone to hold you and tell you that everything is going to be okay.

You forgot to put the crystals in.

I feel you. I know I'm not that far past those stages, but there have been days/times when that's what I've really wished for.

Although changing such things might destroy the fabric of the space/time continuum. Translation: Who knows where you or I would be?

Ha ha. I'm reading all of those thinking "Yep...yep!"
Right now I'd like my time machine to take me back to school when I got summer/Christmas breaks and my weekends. :(

Great post. I do remember. It was a long time ago, but I remember...

I got to sit in a delorean last summer. It was soooo fun... I wonder if I ever shared that picture on my blog? I should look back and see.

Hope next week is better for ya, Darlin'.
