Jillian is mean.


So, my sister-in-law and I are always talking about our weight and horrible eating habits, etc... (She just joined my Mary Kay team. YAY!!) Anyway... She just started a workout video about 10 days ago. It's the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. She said it KILLS. It's 20 minutes long. You do three 6-min. intervals. 3 min. of strength, 2 min. cardio and 1 min. abs. There's 3 different levels.  I bought it at Kroger for under $10 and thought, "It's only 20 minutes, it can't be that bad..." Um, IT IS THAT BAD. I did level one on Friday nite and I swear my quads fell out of my legs. I am so sore. I didn't even get to do it on Saturday and I am scared of doing it tomorrow. It's not that the workout is so hard, it's the non-stop 20 minutes and a lot of squats. That sounds so wimpy, but seriously. Jillian even says, "You CANNOT stop. ANYONE can work out 20 minutes!!" and "I will not modify jumping jacks for you. 400 pound men can do jumping jacks!"  She's not even really here, but I fear her. Anyway... I'm gonna do this for real for 30 days (and more). I'm starting fresh on Monday. Even with Christmas there's no reason I can't squeeze in 20 minutes, right? I'll letcha know how it goes.
