I haven't posted in a while. But last night was the election. I'm not going to throw a big Facebook fit or anything because what good will it do? So, instead here's a few thoughts about yesterday:
- My 9 year old was told by a fellow 3rd grader after casting his vote at their elementary school election, "You only voted for Mitt Romney because he's white." I'm so sick of that bullshit. Excuse my language- but that's what it is. Taj didn't even know what to say because - like that kid I'm sure- Taj just voted for the guy who's bumper sticker was on back of his mom's van. (The van full of black, white, and brown kids...)
- Liv announced - loudly- that she voted for Romney because Obama's a liar. I'll take
credit, uh, I mean blame, for that outburst. She's a little sponge.... soaks it all in. At least what she said can be proven true over and over again. Shall I start giving examples? We could start with Benghazi...
- I feel bad for Obama. He's inherited a mess from the last 4 years. -__-
- I saw some pretty tacky posts and "likes" on Facebook. Some were very anti-Mormon. Really guys? Some of you I really thought were my friends. You aren't. I'm ok with stupid Obama pics, but trashing someone's religion? Really? I understand Mormons are the "wrong kind of minority" so no one cares if you bash them. But here's the deal- I couldn't care less how or what you believe in, same or different than me. If you're honest, respectful, kind to others, etc... then I'm cool with you. Why the need to bash other's beliefs or non-belief? If bashing builds you up, that is sad.
- I'm in a very bad mood.
America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.
